did anyone with an order in get a vehicle order confirmation (VOC) and dealer order receipt acknowledgement (DORA) from their sales people???

Nope, never got one.. had to work with a Ford Support Specialist through another RS forum to get confirmation that my order IS in the system and awaiting allocation.

What was the process like? This is partially whats scaring me. My local guy said he can take my order but he can't confirm it... WTF

I think your local guy is asking for a down payment for an RS in case one does show up but he can't confirm if you would actually get one even with a down payment.

I got VOC emailed from dealer a couple of days after I ordered mine.
That being said I did lock down 1 of only 2 allocated to my dealership.

I just received my DORA today

The Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement , is only the receipt that ford got the order. It does not mean the order will be built, people are placing way to much stock on the DORA's. I can order 1000 RS's and get a DORA on each, however, I will still only get our allocation of 7.

The VOC comes from the dealer and just means "we put in an order"


The DORA comes from the factory and means "we got your order request"


I would think the DORA would carry more weight. That being said, other people have pointed out both documents are just acknowledgements and not a guarantee of anything.


Does anyone care to confirm?

FNH is correct on both the VOC & DORA.


I do not know of anything that is a 100% yes you are getting one at time of order. That said, once the order is scheduled then you are 99.9% getting the car (.01% for damage during transit or other rare issues). Only your dealer can tell you if the car as been scheduled or not normally 2-3weeks before being built.
