not for me, sorry. Black and blue has to be done in the right shades. IMO. the blue is too light and it causes a flat contrast...
Waste of money that I will be spending on some serious 18 inch wheels

I think the blue model would go better with lighter colored rims like the silver ones.

x2, rather go aftermarket and spec them to what i'd prefer although I have yet to get to that stage. Might end up using the standard wheels as beater wheels.
I want to go with black paint and bronze rims. I think the black rims would look better on the other shade of blue that no one actually will get to buy.

Actually I think bronze would look better on anything then the black ;)

I think they would look good with some other colors as well, but that is not to say that I don't prefer them on the black exterior paint color. To each their own I suppose.
I'm a big fan of black because it helps hide the brake dust. Plus, forged 19s will most likely be lighter than non forged aluminum 18s. If the pricing guide is accurate, what Ford is charging for the PS2s and forged wheels is a steal.
"Braking dust"? I've never heard of this before. What is braking dust?

Same here, that issue of brake dust is a big issue for me although I think there are products we can get to help that.... opti coat is one of them.

I wrote brake dust. I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic, but in the case that you're not, brake dust is the dirty looking powder that accumulates on your wheels.

Performance brake pads designed for track use emit a ton of brake dust. Even aggressive street pads can create a lot of dust from normal driving. I'm too lazy to clean my wheels every other day, but I like them looking good. Black wheels help in keeping the car appear clean.

Looks like it works pretty well. I'll have to give that a shot.

One thing to look into is into types of wheel cleaner that wont strip away the coating since I know some wheel cleaners can be harsh due to what they're meant to remove.

I was not being sarcastic. 0:) Thanks for answering my question. I never knew that this was really something to be concerned with.
Brake pads are a wearable component. As the brake pads wear, they produce a black colored dust. Higher performance brake pads generally produce more brake dust than standard pads.
Although the forged rims and sport 2 tires are a steal for 2k US, I didnt go with them simply on looks. I think the standard 19" look better with this type of car over the forged ones. I would have done the upgraded tire with the standard rims if that were an option.
Anyone considering getting the stock rims and then just painting them black?
Look great and cant wait!

Cant beat the price of the Forged rims.
Gonna get the winter tire and rim package too.

It's better than nothing at all, at least this will buy us time for cleaning our wheels and prevent cleaning it being harder than it should. I've seen what neglect can do :D
