I think the black car is a more finished version than the Nitrous Blue in NA. Another example of this is the black one is the first I've seen with the rear parking sensors installed. Rain sensing wipers are a given AFAIK.
I'll be very surprised if we don't end up getting rain sensing wipers, it's just as needed for the North American market as it is for Europe. Same goes for other tech similar to this.
Maybe this has to do with timing of both shows and what Ford was able to fit both vehicles with?
Is it just me or does anyone else think that rain sensing wipers are a complete waste of time, it's just adding weight, complexity and price, I think I can figure out when the wipers need to go on my-self.
How much weight could a sensor that's mounted on the windscreen behind the mirror actually add? They are in all but the base model Focus and don't necessarily add to the cost. Mine have worked flawlessly for 3 years. It's a nice feature that they speed up whilst driving in rain then slow down automatically as you reduce speed.
Would have been great if they kept the models they had at the various shows consistent in what they featured, that's if what we're seeing on the original launch car is what will be available world wide.
My guess is they built the NA car after they made the launch car.
That means NA car should be better revision than the launch car yet it's missing some of those features.
Why do I get a feeling that we are going get gimped yet again.
