I think we were told this before. I just wonder what this will do in terms of availability and also dealer markup. Hopefully we dont'see a big increase over MSRP because there is short supply and large demand.
I assume that many of the cars from Porsche (outside their SUVs even) have more than 2000 models for sale in the US. I'm just saying that the Ford Focus may be just as exclusive in terms of the number of units as some other brands that we think of as exclusive.
It just seems like Ford should supply dealers with them as long as they have customers that are ordering them. Some type of allocation has to be done with the limited supply so that too many don't end up in certain places (NYC, LA, etc...) but otherwise I don't see why they should refuse if someone is willing to pay up.
But I think that the news is big because people were going on that number and now they may have a different view on the dealer markups that people are being confronted by.
