Only 2000 To Be Available In The States

There is bad news for people in the US who want to get their hands on the 2016 Ford Focus RS as the vehicle is going to be very rare with around 2000 of the cars being available in the states.
I found this bit of news on nseavoice.com. There was no mention of when they would produce and ship more to the states but for now, the whole country will have to fight over those 2000 units.

I think we were told this before. I just wonder what this will do in terms of availability and also dealer markup. Hopefully we dont'see a big increase over MSRP because there is short supply and large demand.
Theres more than 3000 Ford dealers in the US... I think they're going to build more then one per dealer... That number is going to make it more exclusive then Shelby Mustangs...(if true, which I doubt)
If this is true.. I see myself without a car until 2017..
Maybe the 2000 estimate is a bit low, not sure where they got that number. After looking around for a more accurate number it still seems like Ford is only shipping a small number of vehicles so people may have to wait a while for theirs.

and of course enough to keep the ball of hype going around with enough of these out to draw attention and to keep the buzz alive.
Another thing to consider, 2000 might be the first allocation...
If it's the first allocation, how long does it usually take for the second batch to be shipped?

depends on global demand I would imagine. With only one facility there are bound to be bottle necks, especially in the first year.
I think it's being produced in the Saarlouis production plant. Wonder if they're building something else there too or if the plant is just dedicated to the production of the RS.

It makes the Focus for Europe already and the Kuga...
One plant dedicated to supplying the world's demand for the Focus RS while also producing the Focus. The wait for stock will be a long one.
Long wait but worth it, fortunate for them they have a solid following with the RS. But Honda might be scooping up some of that interest in the RS depending on how it compared and resonates with that crowd.

I'm not sure if the RS has a dedicated production line or not actually...
I wouldn't think so. I would guess that it is treated as a variant of the Focus and made on the same production line. That's just my guess though.
I doubt it has a dedicated production line too. Most manufacturing facilities are charged with producing more than one model.
Would be a waste of money for a dedicated line especially when production is limited. They'll probably use the current Focus line for the RS, it's what makes the most sense out of all things.
It seems like there may be some truth to the allocation of 2000 units for the states.

From nseavoice.com:
Many are showing great affection for the next-gen Focus RS but Ford has confirmed that they will be producing the vehicle in limited numbers. In detail, only 2000 units of the Focus RS will be sold here in the US and this means that fans of the car will have to act fast if they wish to own one.
Not sure if limited is 2000 specifically but it's probably in small numbers.
I'm curious how the limited numbers will affect the value of the car in the future. Could we have an actual good invest here?

One thing for sure it will maintain its value well for a while to come, but definitely not an opportunity to invest, horrible investment lol.
