Apparently these are the first photos of the production-spec Nitrous Blue color, as displayed on the Geneva show stand.
New wheel design too!

so this isn't nitrous blue?"Five striking exterior colours include Nitrous Blue, a vibrant four-coat metallic finish exclusive to the RS, as well as Stealth Grey, Shadow Black, Magnetic Grey and Frozen White. The car displayed in Geneva features the same special Liquid Blue colour scheme first seen on the all-new Ford GT revealed in January at the North American International Auto Show."

For me it's going to be blue or white, white in this rendering just looks amazing..."Five striking exterior colours include Nitrous Blue, a vibrant four-coat metallic finish exclusive to the RS, as well as Stealth Grey, Shadow Black, Magnetic Grey and Frozen White. What?! Why won't these seats be available in North America? That's shitty.. Can you not get it special ordered through a dealership from the factory??More Nitrous Blue Focus RS photos...
Dem seats!!!!!!
Those Recaro Shell seats won't be offered in North America though.![]()
Source? I haven't been able to substantiate this from any source including Ford press releases. Plus the Mustang gets identical seats so I'm having trouble understanding even the logic behind the decision (if there was one)Those Recaro Shell seats won't be offered in North America though.![]()
In the press release issued today.Source? I haven't been able to substantiate this from any source including Ford press releases. Plus the Mustang gets identical seats so I'm having trouble understanding even the logic behind the decision (if there was one)
The reason is because they do not meet the side-airbag specifications required by U.S. regulations. And if they don't pass U.S. regulations, they aren't sold in Canada either. My understanding is that the Canadian regulations are very similar to the US. So North America is out.Signature RS Recaro shell seats, with authentic motorsport microfibre fabric panels, are an option for customers in Europe and Asia.
The U.S. government would levy a heavy fine if the car was ever sold in the US with those non-compliant seats (oh, how dangerous right!) ...I'm sure Ford would love to order it for you, but government stands in the way...What?! Cheers
The shell seats would likely be offered because the mustang has them as options (different she'll recaros). So does mercedes cla amg.More Nitrous Blue Focus RS photos...

Good thinking, they should come, but the press release says Europe and Asia only :crying:The shell seats would likely be offered because the mustang has them as options (different she'll recaros). So does mercedes cla amg.
I forgot about those!I'd be fine as long a as they have mustang gt350 recaros. All other recaros in their line up look like regular seats with recaro embroidery on them
how do shell seats have anything to do with being involved in an accident?the problem with aftermarket shell seats ...is that i think if you get in an accident, people can sue you left and right even if it is not your fault of the accident. Or if you get injured, insurance will probably not cover you, due to your aftermarket seats.
Yes i thought about just putting in RaceTech/Status/Recaro shell seats in a car before.
