Well, I just ordered one and wanted to learn more about the car so here I am.

How long were you quoted for delivery on your order?

Here in the UK the dealers are quoting greater than a year, a long wait but worth it.

I'm in California. I'm suppose to get some indication by Friday what to expect. I'm not expecting it sooner than September or even December at that, but I'm optimistic enough with my contact that I'm selling my truck on Tuesday to save for my toys.

California always makes me think of the sun and lovely beaches. Sounds like your delivery will be sooner than I will get mine. I think on narrow minor roads you will find the RS a joy to drive, the handling is outstanding. Have a look at my posting on my test drive, it will give you an insight into the car.

Hope you get a good price for the sale of your truck.

Thanks Red Leader. If they don't offer a good price on my truck this time around, I'll be fine. I'll keep driving it til trade time. These trucks are selling at a premium used right now. That's the U.S. for us I guess.

I also read your post. Great read. I really enjoyed it. It helps when car guys can tell stories about cars.

I actually had a chance to buy a 1973 Toyota Celica that's fully rebuilt with a rebuilt 18RG motor but I figured this route was the way to go.

Would you ever do custom work for things that aren't available 'off the shelf?' would be cool to see some one off stuff. Even if was something like a full underbody cover.
