calling in from the EU (France/UK/Belgium/whererever the need takes me). I used to have a 2000 Ford Focus, and it was the car thar turned me on to the joys of driving. I got to drive an ST, and I've wanted one ever since, but then fuel costs became prohibitive, then the crisis hit, and in the end I made a mature, rational, logical choice. It was the right thing to do, and I have no regrets over that. But I've just seen the new focus RS, and for the last few days, every day, I've been drooling over it. Let's see what happens...
Anyway, pleased to meet you all, and congratulations on your forum, it's a tidy and very usable piece of work you put together.
I very excited to take it out for a test drive. Its one thing to see all the videos and write ups but actually experiencing it for yourself is something that is quite different and much more personal.
I'm pretty sure this is Ford best looking Focus ever! They definitely hit the nail perfectly with the exterior and interior. I can't wait to take it out for a test drive!
Hear hear! there's a lot of people around saying they're disappointed, I'm not one of them. I was never too keen on the previous incarnations, I think this one is it. Stunning little thing.
Well over in the UK they're keen on the car looking distinctive and more extreme, and a lot of current RS owners, often the MkII, are saying the new model is bland and doesn't do it for them. I think it's a gorgeous design personally, much better than the previous versions.
The laid back look the Focus RS has is what I'm liking about its styling, much better than the Civic Type R that just goes way too extreme for my liking.
It might be time to get a poll going on how many are happy with the design and how many want 'more' going on.
