Looks like a good package, Mountune seem to have a good reputation. Has anyone had any experience of one of there upgrades in the past? It would be handy information if you could share it with us all. Thanks in advance.
The second of the company’s three-phase release is all about get-up-and-go. Naturally, the list of updates starts with an intercooler upgrade. Priced at $999 in the United States, the unit employs an “x-row extruded lightweight tube and fin alloy core with cast alloy end tanks for improved flow characteristics.” Developed to give “a reduction in air charge temperature with minimal pressure drop,” the intercooler can be matched with the Mountune Charge Pipe Upgrade Kit (priced at $499).
Then there’s the Mountune turbo re-circulation valve, which retails for $169 and is machined from solid aluminum. Engineered to withstand greater temperatures than the OE TRV, this is an essential add-on for Focus RS owners that have a thing for increased boost pressure.
Another highlight that qualifies as a Phase 2 upgrade is the Mountune-developed high-flow induction kit ($499). Available only in satin black finish, the Mountune Phase 2 induction kit improves engine response and the output of the 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-pot.
Can you imagine if they end up being another company like Hennessey Lol. We would really be out of luckLooks like a good package, Mountune seem to have a good reputation.
