Don't be surprised if the RS posts absolutely bonkers grip figures when we eventually test the car—its tires are that serious. Both ends of the car will ride on 19-inch 235/35 Michelin Pilot Super Sports. The front-drive Focus ST, on the other hand, wears Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 2 tires sized 235/40—and it posted 0.96 g on our skidpad. Yeah, the RS is going to be rad.
That's great to know! The only thing is when you get a flat it's gonna hit the wallet pretty hard lol. Quality tires are a must though and very important to have - especially for the Ford Focus RS application. If your gonna be doing a lot of drifting good tire will keep you in control even on the rainy days
The Michelin Super Sport tires are the standard tire. Both the standard and the optional wheels are 19". It was my understanding that the 19" wheels are needed for brake clearance and that 18" wheels will not fit. The optional forged wheels will save about 2.5 pounds per wheel compared to the base cast wheels.
