Hello everyone. I currently live in north central Indiana. I have had my 94 for about 12 years now. She has 196k on her and about due for an engine refresh or a crate motor. For being almost 20 years old she is still in pretty good shape. All stock except for Magnaflow side exhaust and a Roush body kit. The stang was my first car and I fell in love. Over the past 8 years she has become a weekend cruiser for the most part as I got sucked into the Subaru world. Last summer I traded my 13 hatch on a 14 Mustang GT with track package and recaros. I love the car but after almost a year with it I realize owning two rear wheel drive vehicles in the midwest is not the smartest thing ever. I want to get back into an awd turbo car but subaur hasnt put anything out lately that peaks my interest. The RS however has my full attention and I plan on getting rid of the 14 stang for one. Enough words, onto the pictures!
94 GT vert(current weekend cruiser)
02 WRX - had for 4 years before traded in for the 04
04 WRX - had for 3 years before traded in for the 2013
2013 WRX Limited - traded in July of 14
2014 Black GT Premium with Track Package and Recaros - 6spd Manual - Current
as she sits now with custom RTR wheels and Airlift suspension.
Its one of my favorites. The 94 was my first car I bought when I was 19. I have plans for her down the road, ideally, would love to drop a coyote motor into her.
Very nicely done. I am looking forward to seeing what you do with the Focus RS. The gold rims on the Mustang are nice, but I also think they would look even better on the Focus RS.
More than likely the RS will stay stock for a while other than a nice catback. Im sure the wheels would look fantastic on the RS and I may keep them just for that purpose. They may be a bit wide though. I know they come with 235/35/19 PSS, not sure if 275/40/19 would fit. lol
Short shifter might be worth adding to first mods, i'd actually do with a better (to me) shifter than an exhaust. Plus as you can imagine this being a performance model it would have some level of good enough sound going on.
I'm sure that it will sound great and does anyone know if Ford is pumping fake engine noises into the cabin? I know they do that with the Mustang and the Lincoln MKC.
I think it might be a good idea to make that an option. Some people like how it adds to the experience while others don't like how it feels artificial. I think I could do without it. Rather have things quieter and also know that its the real deal.
So much this. I want real sounds. I know on the mustangs, at least my 14 GT there is a sound tube that amplifies engine noise into the cabin. It can be deleted fairly easily so I hope that if they do it with the RS it can also be easily deleted.
I remember seeing a video of an ST owner that got fed up and removed it, which I can understand. I'd likely do the same thing, plus it makes for a good reason to go aftermarket or even custom. Then of course you can crack your window open .... when it's nice outside of course.
Even if its not nice out, crack it anyway. Just get some rain guards.
Also, the airlift kit comes off the stang this weekend in prep for the RS. lol. Going to put it up for sale while the weather is still nice and see if anyone bites.
