Really glad to see a 2016 RS forum started so I can chat with other car enthusiast about how badly I want this beauty in my driveway! I'm definitely ordering it. No IF, ANDs or B*TTS about it!

I currently drive a 2014 Ford Mustang GT. How about you guys?

Welcome! I also dirve a 2014 Mustang GT. Are you getting rid of it for the RS?
welcome to the forum, to both of you! Pics of the GT's? We've got an '86 GT back at the place!
Out of curiosity, what is making you guys decide on the Focus RS instead of the newest generation of Mustang?
Personally, I want back in an AWD. Living in northern indiana it wasnt my smartest decision to buy a RWD as a DD, especially when I still have my old mustang. I was tired of subaru for 8 years. I wasnt impressed with the changes they have made over the past decade and the fact that they still use the EJ257 in the STi's actually pisses me off a little and that is why I bought a stang again. The new WRX with the DIT 2.0 was on my list but I knew it wasnt going to have the power I wanted out of the box. Especially after having a GT Mustang with a coyote motor. I have always been a ford guy and a subaru guy but ford never really put anything out besides the mustang that I liked. The RS however has 110% of my interest. The AWD system paired with the ecoboost and the power ratings they are projecting out of win just spell win for me. Plus it looks amazing.

I'll try to post some soon. Although it's a stock GT, I'll try to find the sexiest one. :D

Easy. 2-Door vs 4/5-Door really. I had a Honda Fit before the Mustang and wanted power, so given that i don't have kids, I decided "better now than never to own a 2-Door v8!." Now that my wife and I are going to start trying for kid, i figured I still want the power, but with 4/5-Doors. That and I love hatches. Its also a plus that it's also going to be AWD…. and it's a Ford, so it's not like i'm really cheating on my Mustang! LOL >:)

That is the same reason I bought my first WRX 8 years ago. Had a kid but still wanted power, granted not as much as the RS will be. I went back to a 2-door V8 because my son is now 8 and is old enough to get in and out of the back seat without my help. I then realized I dont like paying for a car that is parked for 5 months out of the year.
Welcome to the forum!
Do you have anything done to the mustang?

well didn;t you luck out that Ford went and built themselves a Subaru LOL.

I get a bit nostalgic for RWD in the winter. My pops taught me to drive in his '89 ranger 2WD in a Canadian winter on bald tires. He said I needed to learn to drive with the back end out of shape. Still some of my favourite times behind the wheel... 0:)

no, they built something better :)
I understand the nostalgia, as I drove my 94 the first couple of winters I had it. Wasnt bad until I actually needed to go somewhere. AWD in a snowy parking lot though, much better.

Sweet!

Have you dyno'd it to see what numbers you're putting down to the wheels?

No unfortunately, I've haven't dynoed it. Now that i'm getting ready for the RS, I'm actually starting to part the car out to get it ready to sell.

That's the way things go huh? Just when you are finished with one vehicle its time to sell it to make room for the next. Can't wait to see what you do with the Focus RS. Do you already have stuff in mind?

Best way to do it, while parts are still in need and not used for years, you still get decent return on them :D

On to the next one!

Nothing in mind yet other than a clear 3m vinyl wrap for the front end of the car to protect it from rock chips.

Hit it right on the nail or it is hit the nail right on the head. lol It's too early.
LOL Welcome to the boards! What I'm most exicted about is getting the madmen American tuners in on the RS. In Europe we've only ever had a small pool of shops, which a much larger global reach I'm hoping for a comparative increase in goodies :D;)

Do they have a website?

Hennessy Performance should be one of them.

They already worked their magic on the ST, time for the RS!
