I read that the optional forged 19s are only about a pound lighter than the standard wheels. Usually factory wheels are a little on the heavy side.
I bought a set of 18x9.5 Nurburgrings for my G8 and they've been great wheels The rim portion is forged so it's lightweight and durable. I've hit many a pothole with my 285/35 tires and the wheel is still in round. Anyway, I've been thinking about going with the same wheels, but in 19x8 ET40 with the RS. Those weigh just 20.5lb, which isn't bad for a 19. You can shave off a pound if you go with 18s.
good looking wheel choice Ape! I wonder if the stock wheels centre caps will fit, would be a great stock looking option... Now that I think about it, these are actually quite similar to the wheels we saw the protos running around on...
Actually, according to Ford, the optional forged wheels are 2.5 pounds lighter than the standard cast wheels. Since it is all unsprung weight, that is a very, very good improvement.
Have you heard about anything bad about these wheels? I know some people are quick to bash on wheels from brands like TSW or even some with legitimate concerns.
