Focus ST Mods Compatible With Focus RS?

Just wondering if the Focus ST engine performance, tuning, exhaust related upgrades, etc could be used in the Focus RS.

It's a different engine. Exhaust should work, maybe a headers back setup will work, anything else further back from headers should work.
Not engine stuff. But other parts should work. Depending where you get them from you could always ask.

Exhaust parts won't work - they are laid out differently on the RS
Would the ST Cold Air Intake be compatible or do we have to wait for RS specific parts?
Pipe diameter might be different and if that's the case you can always look into piecing one together for cheaper than starting with an ST intake. But I rather wait for something RS-specific to show up on the market.
Most engine tuning available for the ecboost mustang should ostensibly be compatible.

Bingo
we should be seeing people jump on that quick once RS's get delivered, going to be exciting when that time comes around!
What are the possibilities in terms of performance if you are able to invest in some of those Mustang engine tuning options?
I think someone managed to add around 12hp and 14 lb-ft of torque with an aftermarket Cold Air Intake System.
Have you seen the COBB stage 3 ecoboost? MEANNN

Yes - I live near Portland, OR where Cobb Surgeline is located. I know the manager there and I was told they have a lot of great modifications planned for the RS. I had them perform a lot of work on my old STI and plan on them doing some mods on my RS.

Their access port is a great product

Will you lend them your Focus RS if they need a tester car?

The same results those mustangs got. You'll want to look into the various mods available and what performance numbers were produced from it.

I assume you were directing this to me.

Depends on whether I have access to another car while they have mine. I was planning on selling the car I have now when the RS arrives. I would not want to be without a car for too long.

Cobb has there own RS on order so they won't be needing anyone else's car to tinker on

Goes to show just how viable they find the platform and just how important the aftermarket for this car will be!

"Their" sorry - wouldn't let me edit my post
FNH, any inside info on what kind of mods they have planned? :D
