[Focus RS News]

While Ford has been teasing the Focus RS for months, several vital pieces of information remain absent, notably pricing. Officially unofficially pricing appeared this week in Ford's US configurator.

According to Ford USA, RS pricing in America will begin at $35,730 which will include leather buckets and 18 inch wheels standard. Options include a power moonroof for $895 and Premium Painted Forged wheels will set you back another $1,395.

As expected pricing is on par with the Subaru WRX STi.

As much as I am looking forward to driving fast, I am not so concerned that I won't get the moonroof.

I'll be getting it, only thing it'll do to my track time for the handful of times i'll be on a track will be a tenth of a second or something insignificant.

I assume if it's closed it wouldn't affect the aerodynamics of the roof too much and subsequently your time. If you have it open on the track then that's another matter.

If getting the most MPG's when you're commuting is important to you then closing all windows will help with aerodynamics, I think some study showed this to be the case.

It's quite odd that it's not listed in the final count page. I'm pretty sure the wheels only account for half of that.

Did Europe end up getting priced yet? what was it ford ireland and spain who both accidentally leaked specs and what not back after the RS first debuted...

We folks in NA are sort of left in dark. But maybe they might open it for us too. Ask your dealer if they know anything.

That's what i've noticed, it's almost a case of us just having to wait for things to happen rather than us being well informed enough that we have direction on the process.

I just gave my dealer a $1000 reundable deposit and they STILL can't tell me if they're even getting one!!

At least you'll be the first person, if not the only person, to get a Focus RS if your dealer gets them in stock.
