Focus RS Leaked Canadian Pricing!

13748 Views 28 Replies 11 Participants Last post by  Northern

In Canada, Ford will sell you a Focus RS for $46,969 plus $1,600 destination.

The Canadians have decided to offer the 2016 RS in one handy-dandy, fully-equipped package, with the lone exception being $995 for Nitrous Blue paint.

Besides 345 hp and a 165 mile an hour top end, the $46,969 CAD MSRP nets you powered and heated Recaro leather buckets, heated mirrors and heated steering wheel for those January mornings. Managing navigation and infotainment duties is Ford's latest version of SYNC 3, with 10 speaker Sony Audio System including Sirius XM, plus Power Moonroof.

Along with the 19 inch Forged Alloy wheels shod in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2's Ford Canada will be throwing in a set of Winter RS Alloys and Michelin Pilot Alpin PA418 Winter Tires. So yes Ford thinks of the RS as a 4 season car, hey if you can drive an STi year round why not an RS...

They've priced the RS competitively, undercutting the Audi S3, BMW M235i and Mercedes CLA45, on par with Subaru's WRX STi and about $4,000 more then the VW Golf R.

I like the sounds of the winter tire package...Does anyone know if this will at least be available to buyers in the Northern states... North East US gets arguably worse weather then Canada...
It's a bit on the high side but being a new offering into the Canadian and American market it's bound to scoop up some of the demand in that segment especially those that are tired of the typical offerings and see the value in a Focus RS
where did this info come from? Im intrigued.
Is this guy on reddit affiliated with the site, he has similar information? Must of come from an internal ford doc... https://www.reddit.com/r/cars/comments/3lmwi5/focus_rs_some_new_details_for_the_canadian_market/

The pricing is kind of where I figured it would be. I was actually afraid it would be over $50,000. Although I will have to revise my plan. I dont love the factory rims and was planning on getting some aftermarket ones and using the factory rims for winter tires. But if they are including the whole shebang i guess i will have to live with them

Oh don't worry. I'm sure once you add in some dealer fees, taxes, and interest on your loan it will be well above $50,000.

Just what I was thinking, while we'd be the type to use them as beater wheels they'll love to have em on their ST's, even Fiesta ST guys might want them... that's if its a size that will work, which it seems to be.

This is actually $7,000 more than what I was planning for.
I already put down some deposit, I have some thinking to do...
... and my dealer just confirmed that this pricing is correct.
He didn't tell me about if other stuff (options + winter wheels) is also correct but given the price being right, I would think all other details are correct too.

I wonder how many Focus RSs will be marked for Canada. The US will get a lot, but will Canada get enough that it isn't even more competitive to get one here?
Yea.. and I am hearing all these stories about price getting marked up by dealers down in states.
Little bit of mark up in Canada it will be in the S3 or CLA45 territory.
I will think twice going forward with my order then.

Dealers are smart since they know trying to get one later won't be an easy thing to do, either you get one now and pay the mark up or you take your chance in getting one after... if you're lucky.
I don't think adding an admin fee is smart, it's just being greedy, Ford has already built in a fair profit margin for the dealers. I wouldn't be surprised if Ford checks with dealers to ensure they have real orders and aren't trying to hoard a few to sell later at a higher price.
I believe Canadian orders might also be getting a car cover along with the extra 18" wheels and snow tires.
Yes we are. I have no plans to use the car cover though....

ford builds in profit for themselves not for the dealers. The dealers are the factories customers...

maybe even a battery tender too since that helps with cold temperatures and even for those that plan to park up for a while.
