Great video. Thank you for posting it!
Sounds like a blown 4 cylinder getting its neck wrung. No different then anything else. Ecoboost mustang sounds like sex when running in anger so not too worried.Looked at the comments that video got and there are a lot of folks complaining about how it sounds, and I have to agree, it could sound better.
Depends on what you find impressive sound wise. I love the sound of a high strung 4 pot. Its not the engine thats quiet, its sound deadening and exhaust that mitigates mostly, unless you get an older engine with mad valve chatter or something. As more powerful engines are being created with less cylinders, the sound will obviously become less impressive, but that has nothing to do with how good the engine is. I'd rather have a more quiet engine than the fake noises being pumped into the cabin or a burly engine that isn't as fuel efficient.
It does, just like the ST. I'm sure there's a good number of ST guys that have posted their experience of before and after yanking it. Might be worth looking into. The RS has that faux exhaust sound bs?
Depends on how its piped in. You can do it on the beemers because it comes in through the speakers, its just an electronic fiddle. If they're using a sound tube then thats different as the sound is coming directly from the engine bay...Can't you turn on/off the extra sound? Seems like something that you would want the option of turning on and off as you please.
