The reason I ask is because I know that SVT and Shelby vehicles are restricted to Ford performance dealers...Will Ford be pursuing a strategy similar, or will they allocate at least one to each dealer and allow order to come from any store?

that would be a good start to having a stronger demand for future production runs of the RS, the start now might be slow but it'll at least help the RS get noticed as much as it can

The build numbers are already likely to be firmly established, it's unlikely that they will build an unlimited quantity to order.
The expected range of cars available is on the order of around 6000 cars for North America, or about 1/2 to 1/3 the total Focus ST production from 2013.
It's enough that any dealer could get 1-2 examples perhaps, but not enough that everyone can walk out and buy one.

The easiest way to check is just to call your local dealers and then start moving away from you if they can't order it.
