I'm not certain if anyone else on the forum has seen this yet but hopefully this issue will not appear in the 2016 Focus RS.

Ford will be issuing a new recall to bring back some of their 2015 Ford Focus RS after it was reported that some of them refuses to be turned off.

According to the press released, the Ford Focus RS which comes in with a stop-start push button won’t shut down after the drivers press on the push button and that the engine will keep on running even when the key is pulled out.

Even worse that it's happening to other volume products such as the Escape and C-Max, had a feeling this might be an issue with start/stop tech.

This does make me concerned as it could be an issue plaguing all Ford models with the same start/stop button. Just curious, has anyone seen this happening to any other car manufacturers?

Fortunately it's an issue they should have sorted out by time the brands all new Ford GT comes to market or at least I hope so.

PLEASE. How is ford having a problem with 2015 FOcus RS' when there are no 2015 Focus RS'??? They won't exist until MY2016 or 2017 That was a problem with regular focii someone just capitalized and went for click bait...

That might be a good sign for your Edge.

Checking on Edge forums might be a way to tell if it will eventaually get to that.

Its probably not an issue with the physical button but a software problem...

Good point.

Ultimately i'd want something that complements the RS, won't care for anything fighter-jet like but that would be cool, although i'm sure they want to keep it exclusive to the GT.
